Puppy Serenade

Our vocal little brown boy seems to be serenading his sister in this shot. This is the same little guy that we got singing on video (see below). He is definitely the loudest of the lot and is Adrienne's favorite.

Adrienne pays one last visit

Adrienne gets one of each color in her arms for a cute session. We have four light brown doodles like the one on the left, three cream like the one in the middle and two in-betweens like the one on the right.

More Puppy Videos

I think we may be entering the "stage of maximum cuteness", as Colleen put it. Enjoy these videos. Especially the solo performance above.

4 bugs in a rug

These doodle puppies love their sleep! And they particularly love to sleep in piles. But all it will take is a voice or a sense of momma nearby and they will be up and looking around in a flash.

A Walk on the Deck

Celebrating 2 1/2 weeks with a walk on the deck.

Colleen and Cason say goodbye to the puppies

The puppies will definitely miss all the attention from Colleen and Cason! They'll have to find someone else's ear to chew and someone else to kiss.

Goldendoodle Puppy's First Trip Outside

This little white doodle is a little nervous about his first encounter with grass. Their inquisitiveness is growing and he was soon sniffing out his surroundings.

This is for you Michelle...

The puppies are starting to move around more and play with each other. Their ears and eyes opened up, so they perk up when we talk to them and track us as we walk around.

They are getting so cute!:

Check out this album link if you can't get enough of the Goldendoodle puppies (you don't need a Facebook account to see them):

Goldendoodle Puppy Pile

Rosie's brood take a cozy afternoon nap while their Mom takes a break. Can you count all nine?

We're starting to walk!

The doodle puppies are opening their eyes and starting to try to walk. Neither of these milestones seems to be helping this little one find his lunch with Rosie.

Kate meets the puppies

Our neighbor Katie just returned from vacation. It didn't take her long to find her way to the puppies. She did have to park the monarch caterpillar that she found on her way over. The puppies will be more interested in that once their eyes open. For now they just love to cuddle.

Mama needs babying sometimes too

After all her hard work, Rosie certainly deserves a bit of a break. She enjoys a bit of time away from her brood and still likes to cuddle. But the first yip from the other room and she'll hustle right back on duty.

Below: The pups get cuter (and louder) every day. (Double click to get the full size pic!)

Goodbye Brian and Michelle!

Brian and Michelle headed south this morning. It has been such a joy to have them here to share the puppy experience with us. Uh oh, now we're really on our own. Fortunately Rosie knows what she's doing.

Puppy Geometry

After a good "square" meal, Rosie's doodles show that at 4 days old they are already beginning to master the fundamentals of geometry. Well, all except the one little outlier on the left. He'll need to do extra tutorial sessions.

Rosie is such a good mother!

Thanks, Colleen, for the great photos!

Colleen is here!

Colleen says she came to see Brian and Michelle while they're here from Florida. (But we all really know that Colleen came to see the puppies!!) Colleen and Cason are great photographers, so stay tuned for some great Rosie and puppy photos.

puppy yelping :)

They're working on those barks, and they can scoot around to try to find their mommy.

I could just sit and watch these puppies all day long. Actually, that's all I've done the past two days!

puppy twitching! :)

The puppies stay still for a while, and then randomly twitch. It's so cute!

A pile of puppies

Can you count all nine of them?

Goodbye Aunt Kathy!

Aunt Kathy has been a HUGE help. But unfortunately, she has to go home now. We'll see you soon! Thanks a million for being here to help out Rosie, John and Eileen.

Good night, puppies

It's over!

Whew, what an evening. After giving birth to 9 healthy puppies, Rosie deserves some rest!

Puppy #9 (surprise puppy #2)

The girls have officially taken the lead. Puppy #9 was born around 11:30 PM. Both surprise puppies were girls! There are 5 girls and 4 boys. Rosie is doing a great job!

(sorry about the earlier time mixup!)

Puppy #8 (surprise puppy)

Now the vet only saw 7 puppies in Rosie's belly, but he said there could be more! And indeed more there was! Puppy #8 was born at 11:15 PM. The newest pup is the brown one, second from the left.

"Way to go, Rosie. Eight is a perfect cube." - John

Puppy #7

So the lightbulb in the laundry room (where Rosie is giving birth) decided to go out right before this pup was born. Rosie didn't seem to mind, and got a few good pushes in the dark! Eileen changed the bulb in a flash, and pup #7 came a few minutes later.

Rosie had puppy #7 at 10:50 PM. For some reason, she kept licking this one, and wouldn't let him latch on to her!

These are the first 4 puppies, huddled together!

Rosie and her 6 puppies

Rosie now has 6 healthy pups. We're waiting to see how many more she's got in her!!

My favorite quote so far today comes from Eileen...
"Alls I want to do is mop this floor!"

Puppy #6

Another little girl! She came at 10:10 PM.

Puppy #5 (Miracle Puppy)

Puppy #5 has had quite the journey! The vet had mentioned that there were two puppies in one sac. The last puppy was born, and Kathy noticed there was another one coming, but the sac had already come out! Puppy #5 survived for an hour and half in Rosie's womb with no sac! I believe he's the one on the right in the picture.... but I'm not too sure!!

There's another one coming right now!!!

Halftime

Four puppies are out, and we think there are 3 left!
(FYI: Puppy #4 is a girl)

Puppy #4

We have a fourth pup! I'll try to sneak in a get a picture....

Puppy update!

Apparently so far we have two boys and one girl. Just thought you would like to know.

Puppy #3

The 3rd puppy is here! yay!

Puppy #2

Welcome Puppy #2 into the world!

Puppy #1

Puppy #1 has been born! Rosie has cleaned up the pup, and it's already latched on! It's amazing that both baby and momma know exactly what to do! (Please excuse the blurry shot! We didn't want to disturb momma with a flash!)

It's time!

Rosie is now breathing heavily, and showing signs that this is it! Get ready for some puppies!

A REAL temperature drop

Another full day of waiting, and no puppies. It's probably a good thing she didn't have them yet, because Eileen, Aunt Kathy, Brian and Michelle were at the Dublin Irish Festival all day! John stayed home on puppy watch.

At about 10 PM, John checked Rosie's temperature again. Now she's at 98.o degrees! That's a whole 2 degree drop from her usual temp. We really think these puppies are going to be born sometime during the night.

Hopefully, next time you hear from me, I'll be posting puppy pics!

Temperature Drop!

Rosie's temperature has dropped! Only by a half degree, but it's still a drop! She's so close now.

This is Rosie hanging out with one of Brian and Michelle's kittens. Is that Fili or Kili? I can't tell them apart! This is just more proof that Rosie gets along well with other animals, and so will her pups!
