Expecting, but still playful

Rosie loves the snow. She's happiest when her nose is covered with it. Even though she'll be a mom again in a few weeks, she acts like a puppy herself each time we take her out this Christmas.

She's looking quite pregnant. I would think the snow would be cold on her bare belly!

In this pic, Rosie is helping our Floridian daughter-in-law Michelle get used to snow. Michelle is also expecting!

Update on Josie

Here are some pics that Kim, Corinne and Kelly sent of Josie. Thought it would be a good way to get the blog started again. We're going to try for another litter this fall. Should have puppies around Christmas.

Here's Josie:

Kim says "She is such a great girl. So sweet and cuddly! We love her very, very much!"

Another Tucker in the family

Remember Tucker? He's the crooner that went home with Drew, Jenna and Kelsey. Well, he has an "uncle" with the same name. When our daughter Colleen and her husband Cason moved to Kenya last fall, they inherited a dog named Tucker. Here are a couple of pics of the other Tucker in our family.

This Tucker is definitely not a doodle!

By the way, if you want to see some adorable baby and toddler pictures, visit Colleen and Cason's blog to see what they are up to.

Rumsey Pic

Here's the latest pic of Rumsey. In this recent photo he is fulfilling his dual role - family pet and pillow for Aidan. Of course, I can't post on Rumsey without bringing back one of my favorites of him as our little fancy collared boy "monkey."

Here's a recent update on Sam Chubbs, our Pink Collar Boy puppy. We don't have a recent picture but we wanted to pass on the info. Here's a pic from just before he went home with Mary Beth, Dave, Max, Jack and Grady.

"Sam is doing great! We just love him. He gets along great with our dog Grady. Lately, they are absolutely covered in mud on a daily basis but this too shall pass. Sam aka Samwich has a wonderful personality. We tell him all the time that he was the pick of the litter and truthfully it seems to have gone to his head a bit. He is a little more full of himself than Grady but I think that has a lot to do with him being a puppy.

"We had him neutered last week and that went well. I'm not sure how big he is but he looks to be about the size of Abby but more filled out. He was pretty easy to house train and never has any accidents in the house. He does jump up on people a lot which is really our fault. He's great with the boys too. ... people sometimes think we have two sheep in our yard."

We received a great update on Murphy, former light blue collar boy. Here's a picture of his happy family from the day Murphy was picked up.

Here's the update: (I'm sure you other Rosiedoodle owners will be able to relate!)

"All has been going well with Murphy. He can be a crazy one at times but he's as cute as can be. How is he crazy? He picks through the trash, eats clothing, and will get on a table when your not looking (I'll send one of those photos:)) He knows when he's doing something wrong because he'll give you that look while he's planning his strategy of how he's going to dodge past you with a sock in his mouth.

"He's enjoyed the snow this season and he tries to catch the snowballs we throw in the air. Early on he learned so many tricks. I think by 12-13 weeks he was able to sit, shake, rollover, hi-five.... He definitely has the retriever in him. He loves for us to throw the ball and he'll bring it back to us waiting to do it again. He is 7 months old and 50 lbs. We comb him all the time and he's a big thing of fluff and stuff. He needs another haircut right now because it's getting hard for him to see.

"Murphy is VERY mouthy. Thank goodness those puppy teeth are gone. It's not like he chewed on the furniture but he loves a good arm. It's funny because every morning when I get him out of his crate he picks up the little blanket you sent home with him and prances around the house. I sit on the floor and he does a couple of paces then sits himself right on my lap. It's funny and very cute. Sometimes when I groom him, he does better if I have my hand in his mouth. He doesn't bite but it seems to offer him some I need to get him combed!

"Speaking of grooming, boy does this guy like his belly rubbed. Again, every morning during his ritual, he will get on his back and completely sprawl out waiting for you comb or scratch his belly. He straightens his legs out like a human and we all get a giggle out of it.

"Murphy has some neighborhood buddies that he likes to run with, Linus and Oliver. One is a yellow lab and the other is a golden retriever.

"Soccer season for our girls is getting ready to start up so I'll know he'll be going to games. He'll love it and everyone will love him."

Maeve was the pink collar girl that found a home with Elizabeth and Matt. Here is what they had to say about her:

"She rings her bells that we hung on the backdoor. She is a love bug. She is cuddled up on the bed snoring as I type! We do have her sleep on her own bed, though. She is already 41.5 pounds!!! She is happy, healthy and brings us joy everyday. Any chance there might be a goldendoodle reunion this summer?"

A goldendoodle reunion? Hmmmm.

Sophia Rose at Christmas

This is Sophia Rose. She was the little red collar girl that was first to climb into the chair. The pictures are from Christmas time and the description of Sophia Rose is that she is "getting big and fluffy and is very feisty! I expect by now she is bigger and fluffier. Probably just as feisty!

No puppies this spring :(

It's official. We went through three ultrasounds with Rosie and it looks like the breeding with Freddie did not take. Rosie seems to be going through a false pregnancy, complete with morning sickness and looking ready to nurse puppies but the ultrasounds didn't show any puppies.

We received a number of updates and pictures from owners of Rosie's fall litter so I'll be posting those over the next couple of weeks. We'll have to wait 'til next time for another litter. :(

Here's a couple of our not pregnant Rosie:

Showing off a belly that should be bulging by now.

Rosie has never been one to make much noise. An occasional bark if someone comes to the door. A few weeks ago Adrienne taught her to "speak." Now, every time we want her to do a trick, she thinks she's supposed to "speak."

Abby has a home!

We already have Abby in a new home! Thanks to those of you who gave us leads.

Blair and Bridget already have Abby settling into her new home. Having had Abby for a week, we have no doubt that she will quickly adapt and bring much joy and enthusiasm to her new environment!

Of course Rosie already misses having a playmate!

We need a home for Abby

One of Rosie's litter from last fall is back with Rosie. Though Rosie is thrilled by this, we need to find a home for Abby. Abby is the little orange collar girl, though she is neither little nor orange-collared anymore. But she is very cute! Here are a couple of pictures and a video. Please contact us if you or anyone you know might be interested, and get the word out for us!

Abby back in our kitchen for the first time in 4 months.

Rosie is loving having a playmate.
